A Different Menu for a Different Kind of Celebration

The best format depends on how you want the event to feel. A cocktail reception may call for passed appetizers and grazing displays, while a larger celebration can incorporate several interactive stations and shared food experiences.

Cocktail Reception

Passed appetizers, grazing displays, and room for easy conversation.

Private Celebration

Flexible menu combinations for birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, and special occasions.

Larger Social Gathering

Multiple stations and displays that allow guests to explore the food throughout the event.

California Fresh Catering provides social event catering in Newport Beach for private parties, cocktail receptions, milestone celebrations, and special gatherings. The Entertaining Collection includes grazing boards, charcuterie, passed appetizers, and interactive boutique stations designed for flexible social events.

Grazing and appetizer-style catering can be particularly useful for events where guests will move throughout the space rather than sit for a traditional meal. Displays and stations give hosts the flexibility to create a dining experience that feels relaxed, polished, and connected to the atmosphere of the celebration.

Jayme and the Cal Fresh team absolutely knocked it out of the park for our wedding at Casino San Clemente. We were already impressed at our tasting, but admittedly a bit skeptical about whether they could deliver that same quality for 165 guests. They exceeded every expectation.

My God, where do I even begin? We went with them because of how easy the quote process was before we even tried their food. Our tasting was amazing, and they even added two extra meals for us to try that we ended up using on the night of our wedding.

Along the way, Jayme worked with me on absolutely everything. She was flexible and warm, and anything that came up during our wedding for 120 guests, she found a solution. The guests raved about the food—it was delicious.

Using them was such a great decision. If you want flexible, amazing catering for your wedding, I highly recommend Jayme and her crew.

Hands down the most incredible hidden gem of a caterer! Very reasonable prices and exceptional service. You do not see them advertising—it is all word of mouth—and I am thankful I discovered them for my events.

We plan 10–12 events a year, typically with 75–100 guests, and 150–200 at the larger events. I have stopped even looking at the menu proposal because I know everything they create is amazing.

They have prepared food for my small events and large, and every time it is flawless. Their coordinator is on site for the event and operates under the radar of guests. They make sure to check in with you, and it really feels like they look after you too.

They offer bar service as well, and every bartender they hire is personable, funny, and very popular with our guests. The servers are professional and charming and really know how to move through a room.

I have never had a guest tell me they did not receive a tray-passed appetizer or had not seen a server. Some of our event sponsors have gone on to book California Fresh for their own events. I think that is a good sign that we made a great choice in partnerships.
